The New Forest is an area of land near the south coast of the UK in the county of
Hampshire. It is classified as a UK national park and covers an area of 220 square
miles. It is mainly famous for it's ponies that roam freely around the park. Other
wildlife within the park include all 3 of Britain's snakes (Adders, grass and smooth
snakes) and the rare great crested newts.
The forest has many cycle paths and many places offer bike hire which is a great
way of getting around the forest. Of course, there are plenty of camping opportunities.
Below is a comprehensive list of campsites within the New Forest.
